Does ConvertHubcom upload my files?

No. Your files are processed by your browser and never sent to our servers.

— ConvertHubcom: our conversion tools process your file in your browser

What we do download

The conversion engine each tool needs — a small WebAssembly library — downloads once, then is cached by your browser for next time. The processing state for each tool shows "engine ready · cached" once this has happened.

Verify it yourself

  1. Open your browser's DevTools (F12, or Cmd+Option+I on Mac) and go to the Network tab.
  2. Run any conversion on this site.
  3. Look for a request carrying your file's bytes to any host other than this page — there isn't one.
  4. Or simpler: turn off Wi-Fi after a tool has loaded once, and run the conversion again.

What protects your files

How the tools are built: they process files in your browser, so there's nothing to send. We don't yet send a Content-Security-Policy that would block other requests, so the check that counts is the one in your own browser. The byte counter behind the privacy pill above wraps every fetch, XMLHttpRequest, sendBeacon and WebSocket message on this page and counts the bytes of every request body, including small form requests like joining the waiting list and our page counts. It shows your files apart from the total. It's a live measurement, not just a badge, but it can't see Web Worker traffic, so your browser's Network tab is the full check.

What we do collect

Anonymous page-view counts (Vercel Web Analytics, no cookies), never file names, file contents or anything you type into a tool.

FAQ

Where are my saved signatures stored?

In your browser's local storage, on this device only. They're never sent anywhere, and clearing your browser data removes them.

Does ConvertHubcom work offline?

Mostly. Open the tool and convert one file while online; after that you can switch Wi-Fi off and keep going in that tab. Reloading or opening another page needs a connection, and PDF to citation always does.

Is there a file size limit if nothing uploads?

The limit is your device's memory, not a server queue. Very large video files can still be slow to process in a browser tab — that's a browser limitation, not a network one.

What does the browser extension send anywhere?

Nothing file-related. It requests only the permissions needed to read a file you right-click and open it in the same in-browser engines used on the site.
