How can we help?
Common questions
9 of 9 shown
- Do my files get uploaded?
- No. The conversion runs inside your browser, on your device. That’s why the Files figure in the counter at the top reads 0 B.
- How can I check that?
- Click the counter at the top to see what this tab has sent. Or open your browser’s developer tools, go to Network, and watch while you convert. Nothing carries your file.
- Is it free?
- Yes. Your device does the work, so it costs us very little. No account, no watermark, no ads.
- Is there a file size limit?
- There’s no upload, so there’s no upload limit. Very big files can be slow on older phones, because your device does the work.
- Does it work offline?
- Mostly. Open the tool and convert one file while online; after that you can switch Wi-Fi off and keep going in that tab. Reloading or opening another page needs a connection, and PDF to citation always does.
- Where does my file go after I download?
- Into your normal Downloads folder. We keep no copy, because we never had one.
- Is a signature from Fill & Sign valid?
- It’s a picture of your signature placed on the PDF, like signing a printout. Whether that’s enough depends on who asked for it.
- Can I use Fill & Sign on my phone?
- Yes. Tap a field and type, or tap Sign to draw with your finger.
- It says my file can’t be opened.
- The file may be damaged, locked with a password, or not the type the tool needs. The message tells you which, and what to try next.
